As a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at S&P Global you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You willleverageyourexpertisein automation testing particularly with Python Typescript and Playwright to develop robust test frameworks and contribute to the overall improvement of our quality assurance processes.
You will be part of a tight-knit application development team with a focus on bringing GIS visualizations analytics and generative AI capabilities to our CIQ Pro subscribers. CIQ Pro is a financial research intelligence application. Your workwill directlyimpactthe delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet our clients needs.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Automation Framework Development: Design develop andmaintainautomation frameworks using Python Typescript and Playwright to ensure efficient testing of web applications.
Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies create test plans andestablishtesting timelines that align with project goals.
Test Execution and Reporting: Execute automated tests analyze results and report on software quality.Identify document and track defectsthrough toresolution.
Continuous Improvement: Advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance continuously seeking ways to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers and SDETs sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of quality within the team.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers product managers and other stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of quality requirements andfacilitateseamless integration of testing into the development process.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks and handle expected user load.
Documentation:Maintaincomprehensive documentation of test cases test scripts and testing processes to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.

Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering ora relatedfield.
Overall 8-11 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
Proficiencyin Python Typescript and experience with Playwright for web automation testing.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Experience with CI/CD tools and practices including integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Observability & Quality Mentorship:UtilizeLangfusefor tracing and evaluating AI-driven test interactionsestablishingrobust observability practices and automated evaluation pipelines to mentor the team on scaling high-quality reliable AI agents.
