What you will be doing in this role

As a Medical Imaging Assistant you will report to the Modality Section Manager and work alongside a supportive and dedicated team of highly skilled clinical colleagues.

This role involves assisting the imaging team in providing excellent patient care customer service and ensuring the smooth daily running of the Radiology and Nuclear Medicine department.

We have a large 24-hour state-of-the-art Radiology & Nuclear Medicine facility where we deliver over 90000 medical imaging investigations annually. We produce the highest quality imaging for patients using the latest imaging equipment and technology including two brand new Gamma cameras.

In this role you will provide patient-focused care ensuring comfort and emotional support throughout imaging procedures while adhering to safety regulations. Youll help in managing accurate record-keeping optimise the Radiology Information System and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. You will assist with patient identification maintain records and support clinical procedures. Youll prioritise tasks maintain a clean work environment and support the team in providing a seamless patient experience.

Who were looking for

  • Youll be motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT ideally studying towards a tertiary qualification.
  • You will be committed to the advancement of techniques and technology to maintain our standing as a leader in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Youll have exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to considerately and professionally communicate with patients their families visitors and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and take independent action as required.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and experience using medical software systems.
  • Experience in prioritising tasks effectively with a focus on patient needs and team coordination.
