The Role

The appointed Design & Technology Teacher will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to deliver specialist subjects at KS5 such as Product Design Resistant Materials or Engineering depending on expertise. The department follows a carefully sequenced and skills-rich curriculum designed to foster creativity technical precision and problem-solving ability.

You will join a collaborative faculty with access to well-equipped workshops CAD/CAM facilities and modern manufacturing resources. Schemes of work are well established allowing teachers to focus on delivering engaging practical lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.

There is also scope to contribute to enrichment activities including STEM projects design competitions cross-curricular initiatives and after-school clubs.

The Ideal Candidate

QTS/PGCE and a degree in Design & Technology or a related discipline
Ability to teach DT across KS3KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong subject knowledge in practical and theoretical components
High expectations for behaviour and achievement
A commitment to professional development and collaboration
