Job Summary

Senior Estate Planning Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Attorney to join our Estates and Trusts Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 5 10 years of substantial experience in probate trust administration estate planning income and transfer tax planning and advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and role requires strong technical tax expertise independent case management abilities and the confidence to advise fiduciaries and sophisticated clients on complex estate gifting and wealth transfer strategies.

Responsibilities:

Experience handling real estate transactions related to estate administration including transfer of real property title review deed preparation and coordination with closing agents.

Advise high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients on comprehensive estate gift and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax planning strategies.

Design and draft sophisticated estate plans including lifetime gifting strategies and estate freeze techniques.

Draft probate petitions fiduciary accountings trust litigation pleadings motions and court submissions in estate and trust matters with strong attention to procedural compliance and strategic positioning.
Practicing in a reputable law firm environment with responsibility for managing billable hours accurate timekeeping proactive deadline management and independently handling client files without supervision.
Demonstrated ability to inspire client confidence provide empathetic counsel and maintain long-term client relationships. Strong communication skills with high-touch client service orientation.
Represent trustees executors heirs and beneficiaries in probate and trust administration matters.
Independently manage post-mortem trust administrations ensuring fiduciaries remain ahead of statutory deadlines and distribution milestones.
Counsel clients on charitable planning strategies and wealth preservation structures.
Draft complex estate planning documents including revocable and irrevocable trusts wills charitable trusts grantor trusts and related instruments.
Conduct legal research and stay current on evolving estate tax and trust laws.
Collaborate closely with clients outside advisors including CPAs financial advisors and wealth managers.
