Healthcare Paralegal
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Health Care Paralegal to join our Tampa office and support attorneys in a wide range of health care regulatory transactional and compliance matters. This role offers hands-on involvement in advising health care providers health systems physician groups ambulatory surgery centers and other industry clients.
The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable navigating complex regulatory frameworks. You will play a critical role in supporting regulatory filings compliance initiatives due diligence efforts and transactional matters in a fast-paced and evolving health care environment.
Skills:
- Knowledge of federal and Florida health care regulations including Medicare and Medicaid requirements
- Familiarity with health care fraud and abuse laws (e.g. Stark Law Anti-Kickback Statute)
- Experience preparing and organizing regulatory filings and license applications
- Strong ability to manage complex documentation and regulatory deadlines
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys clients consultants and regulatory agencies
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with health care regulatory compliance transactional matters and operational advisory work
- Prepare and file state and federal licensing applications renewals and related regulatory documentation
- Support mergers acquisitions and joint ventures involving health care entities including due diligence review
- Draft and review contracts including provider agreements management agreements and service contracts
- Maintain compliance calendars and monitor regulatory deadlines
- Conduct regulatory research and summarize findings for attorneys and clients
- Assist with preparation of internal compliance policies and procedures
- Coordinate with state and federal regulatory agencies regarding filings and inquiries
- Organize and manage large volumes of regulatory and transactional documents
- Assist with billing budgeting and matter management
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Additional duties as assigned
