Kosmos is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in Anaheim. As a Paralegal you will play a critical role in supporting our legal team and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our legal department. This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents including court filings contracts and other legal forms
- Maintain and organize legal files and documents ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible
- Communicate with clients attorneys and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on legal matters
- Coordinate and schedule meetings depositions and other legal proceedings
- Assist with document review and discovery processes
- Prepare and maintain legal correspondence and other communications
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing timekeeping and expense reports
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws regulations and industry developments
- Other duties as assigned by the legal team
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution
- 4 years of experience as a paralegal preferably in a corporate or law firm setting
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
