Personal Injury Plaintiff Paralegal

About the Role:

A well-established and high-performing personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to play a critical role in managing cases from inception through resolution. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is passionate about supporting clients through challenging situations.

You will work closely with attorneys on complex high-value cases taking ownership of key processes while contributing to a collaborative and results-driven team. This role offers strong exposure to all aspects of litigation and the opportunity to grow your expertise in personal injury law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation from case intake through resolution
  • Communicate regularly with clients providing empathetic and professional service
  • Draft review and finalize legal documents including complaints pleadings discovery responses memoranda and affidavits
  • Maintain and organize electronic document management systems
  • Manage attorney calendars including court dates deadlines and case milestones
  • Prepare legal notices coordinate depositions and serve subpoenas
  • Obtain and review medical records from healthcare providers
  • Gather and track healthcare lien information
  • Assist in fact investigation and case development
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all documentation and filings

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation
  • Prior experience supporting litigation matters from start to finish
  • Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • Solid understanding of court rules filing procedures and e-filing systems
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated proactive and able to take initiative
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make timely decisions
  • Professional demeanor especially in high-pressure situations
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed
