Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Healthcare Facilities Technician to support maintenance and operations within a healthcare facility environment. This role focuses on maintaining building systems ensuring safety compliance and minimizing operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Building Systems:
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC electrical plumbing and general building systems
- Conduct routine inspections to identify wear safety risks and potential failures
- Perform basic repairs such as filter changes minor leaks lighting replacements and equipment adjustments
- Monitor building automation systems and report any irregularities
Operations & Troubleshooting:
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and facility needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues; escalate complex problems when necessary
- Participate in emergency response and on-call rotation as required
Facility Upkeep:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms and maintenance areas
- Perform general upkeep including minor carpentry painting and hardware repairs
- Assist vendors and contractors during service visits
Documentation & Compliance:
- Accurately document maintenance activities in work order systems
- Track inventory of tools parts and supplies
- Follow all safety protocols including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- 612 months of experience in facilities or building maintenance
- Basic knowledge of HVAC electrical and plumbing systems
- Experience with preventive maintenance and inspections
- Ability to safely use hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in mechanical rooms rooftops and confined spaces
- Good communication organization and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare or commercial facility environments
- Familiarity with building automation systems
