Job Description

As a GSOC Operator you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate Healthcare Education Government and more. The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator under guidance of GSOC Supervisor is responsible for assisting company personnel in all concerns that pertain to safety and security for corporate locations around the globe. The individual will work in a GSOC environment monitoring several screens. The Operator will use a variety of tools that range from access control and alarm monitoring systems to various business intelligence sources open-source media Internet and in-house tools. The Operator is required to detect analyze and alert others of any incidents which may impact the clients people products property or brand image. These may range from extreme weather conditions political instability crime terror to technical failures.

Pay Rate: $25.13 / Hour

Monday through Friday 3PM-11PM

Tuesday through Saturday 11PM-7AM

Position Summary

The GSOC serves as the central point of contact for a variety of issues that may impact the business. The Admin. position within the GSOC is a key component to ensure the safety and security of personnel facilities and processes is being maintained globally. The position helps to mitigate risk to the business by protecting people assets and systems.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Monitoring client facilities alarms and activities and coordinating response as required on a global scale

Coordinating required access to facilities as needed including approved modifications to access/ID badge clearances.

Coordinating emergency response and crises management activity on a global scale including assisting traveling employees when a significant incident occurs.

Monitoring on site activity at the HQ facility including security staff tours and incident response.

Monitoring the shared global security email account throughout the day conducting required follow-up and responding in a timely manner

Maintaining situational awareness of local regional national and global events that may impact the organization.

Communicating any issues or updates to the security team and management promptly

Alert to unusual/suspicious activity and supporting or escalating appropriately

Foster and maintain strong relationships with all levels of client management and others across the organization.

Completing other general administrative support tasks as assigned

Troubleshoot problems gaps in services and recommend solutions

Always maintaining a professional appearance and organized work area

Responsible for support and execution of special events as needed

Experience Education Licenses and Certifications Required:

Must be over 21 years old with a valid Drivers license.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a corporate office setting including previous Operations Center or Call Center experience.

o Prior experience operating in a Global environment is preferred.

o Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to give clear assertive directions.

o Ability to professionally communicate with the public visitors client management team and others with a high level of customer service.

o Ability to work quickly and effectively under high stress situations while exercising sound judgement.

o Ability to deal with wide variety of Emergency Situations impacting personnel and facilities.

o Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize problem solve and multitask

o Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office programs including Outlook Word Excel and Power Point.

o Ability to work in a technology-based environment and effectively utilize a wide variety of security systems including Card Access Camera Systems Alarm Systems Building Automation System (BAS) Everbridge- Mass Notification System Travel Tracker CR24 Notifications Visitor Management etc.

o Operating with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

o Capability of working within a Team environment and contributing in a positive manner

o Assisting with various tasks and projects as assigned by the Account Manager or Client.

Other Knowledge and Skills Required:

o Desire to learn via on the job training and interaction with current GSOC professional staff members

o Ability to identify manage and report security risks impacting personnel facilities and the business.

o Ability to process information and effectively communicate amongst a variety of stakeholder groups and departments

o Ability to consistently demonstrate professional behavior that is responsive to the needs of the client as well as your colleagues.

o Ability to motivate inspire and influence others

o Punctual and outstanding attendance

o Ability to work within a flexible work schedule

o First Aid & CPRAED Trained (provided on site within first 60 days of employment)
