Job Description
As a Security Officer Building Access Controlin Irvine CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to needs with strong customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to onsite employees visitors and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and notify site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas processing spaces and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
- Control access at designated entry points by checking identification managing visitor sign-in and badging and directing deliveries to approved locations.
- Complete routine reports and documentation such as shift activity logs incident reports and patrol observations using required paper and/or electronic systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 years of security experience.
- Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be 21 years of age and older.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
- Have CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred and it may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
