Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrol Driver in Brownsville TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location you will drive between assigned areas conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm communication support store teams and guests with customer service and document observations with integrity. This is a driving and armed post requiring a valid drivers license and an armed guard card or license.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests employees and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the sales floor stock areas exterior perimeter and parking areas to help to deter theft property damage and/or unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical incidents alarms and/or suspicious activity and coordinate with local law enforcement when needed.
- Monitor entrances exits and high-traffic areas assist with access control as assigned and report maintenance hazards suspicious behavior and/or policy violations to site leadership.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs preserve evidence when applicable and support loss prevention activities such as observing concealment supporting apprehension protocols and/or providing presence during cash handling and closing procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license from the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Level III armed certification is required for Texas only.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
