Job Description

POSITION MISSION
The Senior Editorial Content Manager will be responsible for supporting the development and the execution of EFCs editorial content strategy in line with the new EFC brand identity. This new role will oversee all editorial content production including for the organisations new website () for event programming and scripting and for corporate reporting (digital and hard copy) ensuring high-quality engaging content that drives audience growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Content strategy: create and implement a comprehensive editorial strategy including a content calendar that supports overall business objectives.
  • Editorial vision and standards: define the brands editorial voice tone and messaging and ensure all content maintains high standards of quality accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Production oversight: oversee the end-to-end editorial content production process across various platforms including:

    Website: developing and delivering an editorial content strategy for EFCs website () which delivers high quality content promoting and celebrating EFC Member Clubs and key EFC projects events and activities.
    Corporate reports: from planning to publication lead the delivery of high-quality corporate reports (digital and print) in a timely manner to promote key EFC events projects and activities (this includes the EFC Annual Report).
    Member Club Communications: playing a key role in creating a club communications strategy (in close collaboration with EFCs Membership department) which ensures the regular flow of communications to EFCs Member Clubs via a CRM system.
  • Events: lead the creation of runs of show and scripting for hosts and interview subjects at EFC events (including our increasingly influential General Assembly).
  • Audience engagement and growth: develop strategies to attract and grow the target audience. Stay informed on industry trends and audience insights to inform content creation.
  • Performance analysis: monitor and analyse content performance metrics using data analytics to gain insights optimise strategy and report on key results to senior management.
  • Budget management: manage the editorial budget allocating resources efficiently for content creation promotion and staff development.
  • General: as a key member of a small Communications team at EFC support broader Communications projects membership communications and events throughout the year.
