Looking for a role that blends great customer service with the rhythm of the gameTheDepartment of Enterprise Services (DES)Golf Courses Division is seeking a Customer Service Representative II!Thisfull-time permanentrole located inKahuku involves registering golfers collecting fees regulating the speed of play and monitoring conduct on the course.

What You Will Do
  • Register and manage play flow by checking in golfers maintaining the waiting list assigning tee times and controlling the speed of play.
  • Handle and reconcile payments by verifying golfer identification processing cash and credit transactions generating POS reports and preparing bank deposits.
  • Issue and maintain golf ID cards by verifying residency updating records capturing photos and submitting required documentation.
  • Provide customer service and resolve issues by answering inquiries explaining policies and rules and addressing patron complaints or disputes.
  • Monitor course and parking areas to enforce rules maintain safety prevent vandalism and ensure proper golfer conduct.
  • Assess course conditions and respond to incidents by coordinating closures determining cart access notifying authorities and preparing accident or incident reports.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Special Working Conditions
  • The position is scheduled for five (5) days per week within a seven (7)-day operation that runs Sunday through Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Assigned workdays and hours will vary based on the location of the vacancy. Candidate(s) will be notified of their specific schedule during the interview.
  • May be required to work evenings weekends and holidays.
  • May float to various City municipal golf courses based on operational needs.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.Responsible work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Two (2) years of clerical experience
  • One (1) year of which must haveinvolved public contact work which required providing information answering questions and inquiries and explaining policies rules and regulations in person or by telephone.

Substitution:Business school or college will substitute on a month-for-month basis forup to one (1) yearof the general clerical experience. There is nosubstitution for the one (1) year of clerical experience which must have involved public contact work which required providing information answering questions and inquiries and explaining policies rules and regulations in person or by telephone.

Must be able to:

  • Understand interpret and explain applicable laws ordinances policies procedures rules regulations and operational requirements.
  • Input and retrieve data from computerized systems.
  • Handle and account for money and other financial transactions accurately.
  • Compare names and numbers quickly and accurately.
  • Perform basic arithmetic calculations.
