Job Title: Supervisor
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 12 months
Location: Milan IL 61264
Shift: 2nd shift (2:30 PM 11:00 PM possible OT incl. Saturdays)
Key Responsibilities - Supervise production maintenance and/or warehouse staff
- Drive safety quality delivery and efficiency goals
- Monitor production plans and resolve workmanship issues
- Enforce safety rules and lead injury prevention actions
- Manage employee performance and discipline when needed
- Ensure training tools and work instructions are provided
- Lead continuous improvement and cost control efforts
- Coordinate equipment and facility maintenance
Must Have - Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in shop floor manufacturing or warehouse operations
- Proven team leadership ability
- Cross-functional communication (engineering HR supply ops)
- Flexibility to work across shifts if required
Nice to Have - Experience with continuous improvement pay plans (CIPP)
- Experience with union or wage workforce supervision
- Knowledge of CI processes and 5S
- Experience with employee policies and work rules
Role Scope - First-line leader for wage workforce
- Liaison between production employees and management
- Accountable for departmental safety quality and output
- Drives engagement and positive work environment
- Decisions impact daily operations and performance
Education - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
