The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) provides comprehensive HR generalist support to business units with a strong focus on ambulatory clinics and operations. This role partners across all HR functions to implement policies practices and procedures aligned with the hospitals strategic goals culture and competitive standards.
The Sr. HRBP serves as a strategic consultant to leadership supporting employee engagement organizational development workforce planning and compliance. The position ensures seamless integration between patient care excellence employee effectiveness and overall organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Provide strategic direction and long-term HR planning aligned with the Medical Centers goals and objectives.
- Model and integrate the organizations Mission Vision and RESPECT values into HR initiatives.
- Partner with business unit leadership to support organizational development leadership coaching change management and employee engagement.
- Design and implement value-added HR strategies to address business challenges.
- Act as consultant advisor facilitator and strategic partner to management and employees.
2. Employee Relations & Compliance
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal employment laws.
- Coach managers on performance management and employee relations issues.
- Investigate employee concerns and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support performance management processes promotions and employee transactions.
3. Talent Management & Organizational Development
- Partner with Staffing to ensure effective talent acquisition strategies.
- Collaborate with Organizational Development to drive career development initiatives.
- Support restructuring and reorganization efforts including:
- Talent and organizational assessments
- Infrastructure and culture alignment
- Workforce planning and gap analysis
- Exit strategies and communication plans
- Manage companywide programs such as merit review cycles and bonus processes.
4. HR Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with internal HR functions including compensation benefits staffing recognition training and employee relations.
- Align HR policies and strategies with organizational objectives and best practices.
- Participate in hospital committees and meetings as required.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR trends particularly within healthcare.
- Adhere to hospital standards infection control policies and patient care guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management Organizational Development or related field (required)
- Masters degree (preferred)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of related HR experience
- Experience in organizational development within a large organization or functional business unit
- Previous hospital or healthcare experience (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and labor relations
- Broad understanding of all HR functional areas
- Strong organizational project management and change management skills
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all management levels
- Strong critical thinking problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Word Excel Visio Outlook) and web applications
- Ability to develop and deliver formal presentations
