About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to lead high-impact brand projects at the ABC shaping major campaigns and priority launches that truly make a difference. You will translate organisational strategy into creative and integrated marketing activity across multiple channels ensuring campaigns deliver exceptional this role you will oversee complex relationships with internal teams and external agencies driving excellence in execution and delivering measurable audience and brand outcomes.
You will champion visual identity and brand governance guiding rollout across campaigns and touchpoints while ensuring consistency and quality. You will also lead internal and external creative teams to produce compelling content across film audio digital social out-of-home partnerships and 1:1 channels. This is a high-profile role where you can grow your skills influence strategic decisions and make a meaningful contribution to one of Australias most trusted brands.
Key Accountabilities
Campaign Delivery Leadership
Lead the development and delivery of the annual campaign planning process and strategic planning to achieve audience growth targets and KPIs
Oversee end-to-end delivery of major ABC campaigns and projects
Manage timelines budgets approvals and workflow across multiple campaigns
Ensure campaigns are delivered on time on brief and to a high creative and production standard
Act as a central point of coordination across marketing media PR and content teams
Visual Identity & Brand Governance
Lead delivery of visual identity projects in partnership with marketing and content teams
Oversee rollout of visual identities across campaigns platforms content marketing and on-air and off-air touchpoints
Establish and manage brand design governance to ensure consistency quality and correct application across all teams and suppliers
Develop clear tools guidelines and approval pathways to support adoption across the organisation
Act as the day-to-day guardian of the visual identity in campaign execution and brand activity
Integrated Creative Excellence Champion
Lead briefing and management of internal creative teams and external agencies to elevate creative excellence
Drive strong creative output across film audio digital social OOH partnership and 1:1 channels maintaining high standards of craft storytelling and execution
Manage processes costs and delivery milestones
Partner closely with Media and PR to ensure integrated campaign roll-out across paid owned and earned channels
Campaign Effectiveness and Optimisation
Work with Data and Insights teams to define campaign KPIs
Lead post-campaign reporting and structured wash-ups
Use performance data to optimise in-flight activity and inform future campaigns
Team Leadership and Workflow Management
Lead and develop team members setting clear priorities workloads and performance expectations
Build strong operating rhythms across briefing reviews approvals and reporting
Foster a collaborative accountable and delivery-focused team culture
Governance and Compliance
Ensure all campaigns comply with ABC editorial standards legal requirements and governance processes
Proactively manage risk across high-profile and sensitive campaigns
Maintain clear documentation for approvals spend and reporting
About you
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent significant skills knowledge and experience
Significant experience in a similar role; senior executive experience is essential. Experience in a media company is well regarded but not essential
Proven outstanding strategic thinking with the ability to identify growth opportunities and translate strategy into actionable measurable plans
Demonstrated senior-level knowledge of owned earned and paid digital marketing audience segmentation and audience journey mapping
Significant experience in brand development brand values positioning and evolution into the digital domain
Strong capability in managing a team multiple projects budgets and timeframes with experience in team development and capability building
Highly developed interpersonal negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build partnerships and relationships at all levels
Highly developed innovative and creative thinking with the ability to think laterally and exercise critical judgment in solving complex problems while considering the ABC Charter and Editorial Policies
