VicRoads is progressing August 2022 we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super Australian Retirement Trust and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.

We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access infrastructure and safety.

As a Technology Graduate you will help modernise the platforms that power registration and licensing and use data to improve customer experiences.

About the Opportunity Engineering and Quality Assurance

This stream gives you a hands-on start across key technology areas at VicRoads. Youll begin in Software Engineering working with developers to design build and improve modern web and mobile applications while learning best practice coding testing and Agile delivery.

Youll then move into Quality Assurance learning how products are tested refined and launched - starting with manual testing and defect management before gaining exposure to team collaboration automation and API testing.

In your third rotation youll join Data governance working on data mapping quality modelling and analytics to help ensure accurate well governed data for insights and decision making.

Your fourth rotation will be determined once you commence the program.

Across all rotations youll grow your technical capability learn from specialists and help deliver digital experiences that keep Victorians moving.

About you

Were looking for techcurious graduates who are eager to learn solve real problems and make an impact from day one.

To be successful in this stream you must:

• Be in your final semester of study or recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the past 12 months in the following discipline: IT Computer Science Software Engineering or Data

• Basic coding skills and understanding of scripting or programming fundamentals

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office including basic Excel functions

• Awareness of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) design development testing deployment/maintenance

• Basic understanding of databases and how data is stored or queried

• Familiar with core cloud concepts especially AWS (preferred) or Azure

Standard eligibility:

• Applicants should be in theirlast year (final semester)of study; or recently completed a relevant Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree within the past 12 months.

• Applicants must be able tocommenceemployment from July 2026

• Applicants must hold full-time working rights in Australia at the time of commencing. We are unable to consider candidates who require visa sponsorships.
