Are you ready to launch your career in accounting with one of Australias leading health care providers Due to internal promotions St John of God Health Care is seeking a motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Group Finance team.

This is a unique opportunity to build a strong professional foundation through structured rotations across a variety of finance functions gaining diverse experience while contributing to meaningful work that supports our Mission and Values.

The Graduate Accountant is responsible for a variety of tasks as allocated to them during each rotation you will be supporting either Group Services or an allocated hospital.

The Position

  • Processing of monthly transactional accounting.

  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations including the following up of outstanding items with relevant stakeholders.

  • Recording of additions and disposals of capital assets on the fixed asset registers.

  • Transactional banking in accordance with group policies and procedures.

  • Consolidated financial reporting for both management and statutory accounts.

  • Credit card administration.

  • Participation in cash flow forecasting.

  • Contributing to strategic decision making and analysis.

  • Participate in process improvement and the implementation of financial controls.

  • Assist during external and internal audits providing information in a timely manner.

  • identify and implement process improvement/education.

You will have the ability to quickly grasp and understand customer needs and possess practical and creative approaches to providing analysis and problem solving.

To succeed you will be degree qualified with a commitment to complete a CA / CPA qualification within the three (3) year contract.

  • Salary $79060 per annum plus 12% Superannuation

  • 3-year fixed term full-time position working 76 hours a fortnight

  • Based at our Perth CBD office with 40% work from home option
