Job Description
As a Security Officer - TWIC Patrol Driver in Jacksonville FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government waterfront transportation location you will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post so you will use a company vehicle to cover assigned areas while delivering clear communication and customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct access control duties including verifying identification and credentials monitoring entry and exit points and directing visitors vendors and personnel according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including requesting assistance from site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports and logs of patrols incidents and unusual activity and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required as required by the client.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- A Guard Card and/or License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
