Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed High Visibility Patrol in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an armed patrol officer in a government transportation location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will carry out armed post duties using your Armed Guard Card or License and concealed carry permit while providing clear communication and customer service to riders and staff. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors employees and/or the public by following site-specific procedures post orders and government facility policies.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned transit-related areas platforms access points and perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor access control points verify credentials when required and manage entry and exit in accordance with authorized access lists and site directives.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with on-site personnel and public responders as directed.
- Document patrol activity incidents and unusual observations in written reports and logs and communicate timely updates to supervision according to Allied Universal protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
