Job Summary
- Monitor and maintain the 5th floor recording studio to ensure optimal functioning and readiness for course instruction and recording.
- Oversee and enforce the usage policy for Murphy 570.
- AssistRecording Class faculty during class times.
- Supervise and manage Murphy 570 and recording related to Jazz and Commercial Music along with a team of student staff who provide technical support.
- Assist with staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service delivery.
- Act as the point of contact for troubleshooting equipment issues when student staff is absent.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of audio and video assets to students and faculty as related to Jazz and Commercial Music.
- Provide sound reinforcement and live mixing at various venues for Jazz and Commercial Music events.

- Three (3) years of experience in mixing digital editing and use of recording machines and related devices.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Experience with operating systems digital production programs and web technology as evidenced in application materials.
Position Overview
The Full-Time Recording Studio Manager will oversee a small team of student staff providing essential technical support and services for the School of Music. This role encompasses audio engineering scheduling and staffing as well as maintaining recording spaces related to Jazz and Commercial Music.
