Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head HR Talent Acquisition to lead the end-to-end recruitment function for our steel manufacturing operations. The role will be responsible for designing and executing talent acquisition strategies to support plant operations corporate functions and business expansion plans. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in industrial/manufacturing hiring workforce planning and leadership hiring.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition Strategy
Develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with business growth and plant expansion plans.
Lead workforce planning in coordination with plant heads and functional leaders.
Build strong talent pipelines for technical operational and leadership roles.
2. Industrial & Plant Hiring
Manage bulk hiring for plant operations (engineers technicians supervisors operators).
Oversee hiring for specialized roles in steel manufacturing such as production maintenance quality safety and supply chain.
Ensure timely recruitment for critical plant positions to avoid operational delays.
3. Leadership & Lateral Hiring
Drive hiring for senior and mid-management roles.
Partner with external consultants and recruitment agencies for niche talent acquisition.
Conduct competency-based interviews and selection assessments.
4. Employer Branding & Campus Hiring
Build relationships with engineering colleges technical institutes and ITIs for campus hiring.
Strengthen employer branding initiatives in the manufacturing sector.
Represent the company at job fairs and industry hiring events.
5. Recruitment Operations & Compliance
Establish structured recruitment processes KPIs and dashboards (TAT cost per hire quality of hire).
Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal hiring policies.
Implement and manage ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and recruitment analytics.
6. Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the talent acquisition team.
Set performance targets and monitor recruitment metrics.
Drive continuous improvement in hiring processes.
