Job Summary

TITLE: Senior Platform Developer with ACTIVE TS/SCI with CI Poly

RATE RANGE: $70/hr - $89/hr W2 **Depends on experience and benefits chosen**
CLEARANCE ACTIVE TS/SCI with CI Poly issued by the Department of Defense
LOCATION: Onsite in Aurora CO 80011 (no relocation package)

DURATION: 12 month Contract or Contract to hire

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Platform Developer you will herald a transformative era in software engineering one that underscores the integration of development and operations through a single comprehensive platform. Platform engineers with their comprehensive technical and problem-solving skills are shaping the future of software development to efficiently deliver high-quality secure software by providing automated services that enable SW engineers to focus on developing mission capabilities.

The roles core responsibility revolves around empowering development teams with a robust platform that streamlines processes enhances collaboration and accelerates release cycles thereby driving efficiency and innovation.

You will be on an agile team that is responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers workstations storage networks and custom hardware. These environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in support of transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructure

Optimize implementation for performance and scalability across on-premise VMware computing environments

Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability consistency infrastructure efficiency reduce deployment time and automate configuration management

Collaborate with software engineers data scientists and DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission solutions

Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management

Provide operational support for the platform

REQUIREMENTS

Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or Physics and 5 years of related work experience

Experience with containerization using technologies such as Kubernetes Docker

Experience with programming/scripting languages (E.g. Python Java Ruby Bash C C# Go)

Current CompTIA Security or ability to obtain

Active and current TS/SCI / CI Poly security clearance is required day 1. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum SAFe)

Experience deploying configuring and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira Confluence Bit Bucket Jenkins Artifactory Gitlab)

Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef Puppet and Ansible

Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus Fortify Anchore)

Exp developing testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework

Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience and expertise (Server Storage Network Hardware) Background in COTS/FOSS product installation configuration and integration

Experience designing implementing and integrating platform infrastructure services using infrastructure as code (IaC)

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor Degree Preferred
