About the Role:
Join our dedicated team at Senior Care At Home Edmond as a Professional Caregiver with Dementia Experience. This rewarding position allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors in our community while providing compassionate care and support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care and assistance to clients with dementia.
- Assist with daily living activities including grooming bathing and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document changes in client behavior and health status.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance cognitive function.
- Communicate effectively with clients families and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life.
Requirements:
- Experience as a caregiver preferably with dementia patients.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor and a passion for helping others.
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
- Background check and references required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
