Summary of Job Duties:
**This position provides weekend coverage at the UAMS Cancer Institute working Saturdays and Sundays (6:30 AM-5:00 PM) during clinic hours and remaining three workdays during the week (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)**The Access Coordinator III is a senior-level position responsible for managing and optimizing patient access to healthcare services through advanced coordination leadership and problem resolution. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of scheduling registration insurance verification and referral processes while also serving as a resource and mentor for junior access staff.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School GED or formal educational equivalent
- Three years of customer service experience preferably in registration billing or scheduling in a healthcare environment.
- Good communication skills basic proficiency with computers (preferably MS Office) excellent telephone etiquette skills and general knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- CHAA Certification
- Call center experience. Experience in registration billing or scheduling in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
