The Pathology Support Coordinator at Regions Hospital plays lead role supporting a team of pathology support staff pathologists and multidisciplinary care team members. Ideal candidates bring laboratory operations experience enjoy leading teams and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment where their work impacts patient outcomes.
As a Pathology Support Coordinator you will:
- Oversees pathology office workflows coordinates consultative biomarker and molecular testing and serves as a central liaison to ensure accurate timely diagnostic results.
Coordinates the daily activities of the medical secretary support staff and provides support to the department pathologists and leadership.
Performs duties such as case distribution consultation requests and other clerical duties related to pathology result reporting.
Acts as a liaison with multiple departments and external customers. Is proactive and can provide direction that supports team performance expectations.
Work schedule: FTE: 1.0 (40 hrs. weekly) Day Shift
Required Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree required prefer Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
Experience: 5 years of increasingly responsible administrative and secretarial experience in a hospital or health care setting. Pathology office experience highly preferred.
