Job Title:Assistant Principal- Secondary

Primary Purpose:
Assist the school principal in overall administration of instructional program and campus level operations.
Coordinate assigned student activities services.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors Degree from accredited University
- Masters Degree from accredited University
- Texas Principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
- Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)
Experience:
- Minimum of three years experience as a classroom teacher.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Thorough understanding of school operations
- Strong background in effective instructional strategies
- Strong organizational communication public relations and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate campus support operations

- Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

- Frequent district-wide travel; occasional statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours

- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); interpret policy procedures and data; coordinate district functions; maintain emotional control under stress.
