Description

This contract position is on-site offering a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic environment.

In this role you will be an integral part of our orthopedic practice working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients. Your expertise will contribute to surgical evaluations post-operative care and overall patient management ensuring optimal outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
  • Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons
  • Manage post-operative care and follow-up for patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for orthopedic conditions
  • Provide patient education regarding their conditions and treatment options
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participate in continuous education and professional development

Requirements

  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant license
  • Experience in orthopedic surgery or related field preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Call Coverage: Tuesdays (7a-7p) 1:4 weekend rotation (Friday-Sunday 7a-7p)

Duties: First call with physician on backup call

Required Skills: ED consults and triage orthopedic surgeries trauma after-hours call inpatient rounding and discharging

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
