Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management Business Public Administration or a directly related field;
Three years of human resource experience.
(Other job-related education or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements).
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Experience in employee training and development programs;
Experience working in Higher Education preferred;
Experience working with Workday.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Learning and Development:
Develop effective training programs utilizing a variety of media sources and modify training programs as needed;
Create assessment tools and evaluation processes; conduct follow-up studies on all completed training to evaluate and measure results;
Create and modify training materials (visual aids and presentations) as needed;
Maintain the employee-training database for in-person and online training;
Coordinate and track new employee orientation;
Act as a resource for assistance with Workday Learning;
Conduct surveys to identify employee-training needs;
Plan organize and order supplies for employee training programs.
Customer Service:
Assist customers (applicants students staff and visitors) in-person on the phone or via written communications e.g. emails etc. with timely and accurate responses to their inquiries;
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws; ability to interpret and apply applicable state and federal laws;
Ability to exercise and practice a high degree of discretion and to maintain confidential information;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential;
Proven presentation skills are to include proficiency with technology and virtual training platforms;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning organizing and prioritizing with attention to detail;
Experience with computer-based source management systems such as Workday preferred;
Ability to work independently.
