Position Summary:
The Account Manager/Sales Associate is responsible for developing new business relationships in this instance principally with clients in Italy (but potentially across international locations too) and serving as the first level of support to prospective clients within the Retail sector.
The role will be fully focused on Business Development and will involve principally prospection and cold outreach for lead generation to generate opportunities with prospective new time the successful candidate can be involved in taking on more responsibility such as client discovery meetings demo calls all the way through to closing deals.
The focus will be to sell TransPerfects translation and localization services as well GlobalLink technology products.
Once the client is onboarded the client is then passed onto a Client Services team member who will grow that account long term.
Position responsibilities:
Develop an effective understanding of the capability benefits and competitive advantages of TransPerfects services
Identify prospective customers and individual organizations to focus on sales activities
Develop new client relationships via cold calling internet and trade shows
In coordination with Sales Management identify qualify develop sales opportunities (with possibility of managing the full sales cycle once trained)
Promote and educate clients regarding TransPerfects services
Provide customer support and manage client expectations in liaison with the Production team
Manage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company procedures
Cross-sell and upsell various services and solutions into various departments within the clients company with an eye to optimize account profitability
Take an active role in learning about each clients industry business needs and company culture to identify new business opportunities and provide a high level of service
Perform other special projects or duties when required
Essential skills and experience required:
Minimum Bachelors Degree or its equivalent
Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
Native level of Italian
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Motivated with a proactive attitude
Results-driven ability to work independently and take ownership
Good analytical skills needed to project revenues monitor budgets and other necessary calculations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
Interest in Strategic Business Development as a long-term career path

Desired skills and experience:
Previous Sales/Business Development/Account Management experience (1 year)
Professional experience working within a corporate B2B role for clients within the Retail sector
Professional working proficiency in additional languages
