Job Summary

Employee Attendance Support and Staffing Assistant

(Temporary/Part-time)

Located at the School Board Office the Human Resources Department is seeking a temporary part-time Employee Attendance Support and Staffing Assistant. This position plays a key role in working with the districts on-call staff to ensure that daily staffing needs are addition the position provides general support for all HR-related functions. As a key member of the HR team this position requires interaction with staff and leadership on a variety of matters and must maintain a high level of confidentiality in the performance of all duties.

  • Schedule: Start date to March 6 (2 days per week); March 9-13 (4 days per week); March 16-27 (off); March 30- June 30 (2 days per week); possible on-call work beyond this temporary assignment.
  • Hourly Rate of Pay: $33.92 (7 hours per day)

And have the required education and experience noted below:
  • Minimum two (2) years of recent and relevant experience in an office setting preferably within human resources or public education
  • Minimum of one (1) year of post-secondary education in office or business administration preferred and coursework specializing in Human Resources an asset
  • Experience using an HR information system and familiarity with Atrieve ERP and the use of an automated employee dispatch system an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook as well as familiarity with host and internet-based computer applications
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
