Location: Minneapolis MN
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced RRT ECMO Specialist for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity adult critical care setting. Candidates must have hands-on ECMO machine experience and demonstrate advanced respiratory care skills in ICU environments.
Shift & Scheduling Details
3x12 Night Shifts ()
Occasional rotation to days () as needed
Every other weekend required
On-call required as needed
Floating within scope required
Block scheduling: Discuss with manager
Locals not accepted (must reside more than 100 miles from facility)
Pending license accepted (must be active at start)
Experience Requirements
Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
Minimum 1 year ECMO Specialist experience required
First-time travelers accepted (must meet ECMO requirement)
Adult Critical Care experience required
Required Certifications
RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
Active State Respiratory License
BLS
ACLS
PALS

Fresh tracheostomy management
Airway Management
Endotracheal tube management & suctioning
Intubation assist & extubation

Tracheostomy care & suctioning
Pulmonary hygiene & sputum specimen collection
Ventilator Management
BiPAP / CPAP
SIMV
Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
Mechanical ventilation weaning
Patient transport (inter-departmental & ambulance)
Oxygen & Nebulizer Therapy
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Bag & mask ventilation
ET Tube oxygen delivery
Aerosol setup (mask & trach)
Nebulizer types: cold heated ultrasonic handheld T-piece trach collar
Medication Administration
Albuterol Atrovent Combivent
Flovent Pulmicort Spiriva
Mucomyst Tobramycin Xopenex
Inhaled Flolan
Nitric Oxide (INo)
Racemic epinephrine
Advanced Skills
ABG interpretation & arterial puncture
