The Arc Lexington is looking for a Bus Driver Coordinator
The Bus Driver Coordinator reports to the Transportation Director and supports drivers at the start of each shift by reviewing routes monitoring road and weather conditions and addressing any wellness or operational concerns. This role helps create a safe supportive environment for both staff and the people we support by assisting with training driving assessments daily administrative tasks and required documentation.
In addition to maintaining vehicle inspections and regulatory compliance the Coordinator helps ensure each passenger is transported safely respectfully and with proper securement including those using wheelchairs. This position works closely with multiple departments to provide reliable transportation services responds to concerns with professionalism and care and maintains accurate records to support quality service delivery. Flexibility within a 40-hour workweek and basic computer proficiency are required.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. A valid New York State drivers license is required along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class B license with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements. The driver must successfully pass and maintain a NYS DOT physical.
