NEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENING
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works closely with building administrators students families and/or guardians.
- Facilitates tiered interventions as part of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
- Provides support by providing data reports and information as needed.
- Interacts with parents families students and/or guardians regarding attendance behavior and/or student discipline in an effort to develop appropriate responses.
- Assists with supervision of students toensurea safe and productive learning environment.
- Oversee staff referrals for student attendance and/or discipline issues.
- Exercises appropriate judgement to refer matters to administrators as needed.
- Serves as a resource for staff administrators students parents and/or guardians to accurately answer questions explain information or processes related to school procedures.
- Works closely with school counselors BIS and other staff members.
- Work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality.
- Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist otherpersonnelasmay berequired to support them withthe completion oftheir work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of theposition.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA degree required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Bilingual and/or Biliterate required.
- Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability toestablishandmaintainprofessional cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to follow safe work practices andprocedures.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with a minimum of direct supervision.
Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with outside public agencies such as CPS police WISE and other service providers.
Knowledge of general office equipment such as computers copiers laminators telephones scanners paper cutters book covering materials and/or step ladders.
Knowledge and ability of proper use of English in both written and verbal forms use of correct grammar spelling and punctuation.
- Skilled in maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Ability to meet deadlines plan and organize activities.
- Knowledge of District Philosophy.
REQUIRED LICENSES CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING:
- Passing score on district administered bilingual test.
