SUMMARY

Interprets and enforces provisions of the Maharashtra Fire Acts and Rules National Building Code State Codes and fire prevention and fire safety laws ordinances and other fire related regulations Manage and uplift the existing Fire & Safety operations model at Godrej. Ensure highest level of protection for manpower and propertys assets. Work in close coordination with the management to understand and fulfill their requirements and efficiently manage the resources (human resources and infrastructure) provided for the task. Act as a reliever during shortage of security the event of any major emergency during silent hours / holidays he shall reach the scene of incident in shortest possible time and provide all necessary support till required manpower reaches the incident location.

ROLE SPECIFICATIONS

1) Fire Protection & Prevention Measure

- Keep a track on all the fire protection means deployed for their functioning and efficiency.

- Ensuring regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance in case of any fault/defect generated in the systems through in-house or external sources.

- Strategic deployment and suitable up gradation of different systems as per need basis.

2)Employee Training and Awareness program

- Develop and maintain a centralized Training database.

- Develop employee training course structure and related literatures.

- Ensure each employee at Godrej premises is trained in Basic Fire Prevention Techniques.

- Assess and evaluate department specific risk and needs; to select set of people from different

Locations for specialized training modules.

3) Fire Safety Risk Assessment and Audits

- Carry out internal audits for Vikhroli campus and outside premises.

- Assessment of people and processes from fire safety perspective and its periodical review.

- Coordinate for external and 3rd party audits.

- Track and acts on the inputs/ observations.

4) Disaster Management & Emergency Handling

- Establish policies and mechanism on Disaster Management and seek approval from competent

authority for their implementation.

- Carry out meetings: table top exercises and mock drills- streamlining response of manpower and material resources for emergency conditions.

- Ensure execution of emergency plan and rightful working of people in hour of need.

5) All additional responsibility given by the Management.

- Taking additional charge of Shift manager Security in case of requirement.

- Ready to work in shifts as per requirement.

QUALIFICATION

1. Graduation / Post Graduation

2. Min 5 years of experience in a big construction group

3. Accredited and certified from international bodies of Fire Engineering & Industrial Safety (Desirable).

Organizations requirements.

9. Project management ability and high quality execution focus
