Job Summary

Were currently looking for Layout Artists to join our team on a 2D animated preschool series. Youll be responsible for designing the backgrounds and layouts based on the funpack and storyboards. Your layouts and backgrounds will serve as the blueprint for animators and BG artists providing key information on perspective character placement and staging.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Director and Art Director to create environment layout backgrounds.
Translate storyboards and review animatics to produce layouts and final backgrounds that both align with the visual style of the production.
Prepare clean and organized layout files that will work well with both other departments and the 2D production pipeline.
Revise layouts based on creative and technical feedback
Work collaboratively with team members and other departments and ensure open communication

Qualifications & Requirements:

Understanding of background layout design for 2D animations required
Strong drawing skills showcasing an understanding of perspective dimension staging and composition
Proficiency in Photoshop
Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet weekly deadlines
Capable of taking direction and working collaboratively within a team
Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
Experience working on an animated preschool production is a plus
