Job Summary

Amarr Garage Doors a part of global opening solutions company ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Director of Commercial Business a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping the future of our commercial business. This position is central to driving growth ensuring operational excellence and maintaining Amarrs position as a trusted supplier in the commercial sectional overhead door and coiling door market.

About the Role

The Director will lead initiatives that impact revenue e-tool development efficiency and customer satisfaction. This includes managing pricing strategies overseeing key performance metrics customer service teams and guiding process improvements across sales operations and manufacturing. The role requires close collaboration with engineering product development IT and sales to ensure alignment with market demands customer expectations and company objectives.

Essential Functions of this Position:

  1. Bring the Voice of the Customer to Amarr business decisions insuring Amarr is the supplier of choice for commercial overhead door and coiling door products.
  2. Drive commercial door revenue growth via coordination with sales field management and manufacturing by providing industry insight expertise and effective leadership.
  3. E-tool development specification writing & testing and coordinating with IT on all e-tool initiatives.
  4. Develop and maintain expert product knowledge of Amarr commercial products (Sectional Coiling) wind-load IBC ASHRAE Fire Door certifications and all building codes as they relate to Sectional & Coiling doors.
  5. Direct Amarr Commercial Expert Team initiatives training process improvement KPMs and P&L responsibilities to drive improvement in revenue efficiency and EBIT.
  6. Accountability for commercial growth at strategic distribution center locations.
  7. Work closely with Applications Engineering & Product Structure to improve company process efficiency and customer support.
  8. Manage teams to develop high ethical standards and high performance.
  9. Support commercial product development teams.
  10. Expert knowledge of competitors products policies and procedures.
  11. Have an in-depth knowledge of commercial dealer business functions business process and end-user application requirements.
  12. Effective management of customer warranty requests including diagnosis of root-cause installation problems labor requests and warranty claims.
  13. Ability to perform take-offs read product specifications assist dealers & architects with specifications and product substitution documents.

Qualifications of Job:

  1. 10 years of experience in the commercial overhead and coiling door industry to include door installation experience management experience sales experience for both commercial sectional and coiling doors is required. Knowledge of docking and high-speed doors is a plus.
  2. College degree strongly preferred.
  3. Experience managing both operational and sales staff.
  4. Strong mathematical analytical and organizational skills
  5. Valid driver license.
  6. Excellent interpersonal organizational and time management skills.
