Job Summary
The Neurophysiology Technologist will perform various diagnostic testing which includes complete diagnostic sleep studies of polysomnography nasal CPAP & Bi-level titration and other related diagnostic tests. Also perform in-service education provide clinical education and training to hospital personnel and act as a resource person on various aspects of Polysomnography.
Will also be able to:
- Provide patient education regarding the use of home oxygen and therapy equipment.
- Carry out all administrative work associated with various outpatient diagnostic procedures.
- Re-assess patients requiring various sleep adjuncts and suggest alternatives to the physician.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Registered Sleep Technologist withRPSGT
- Experience in EMG and/or EEG neurophysiology an asset
- Skills in Respiratory Therapy an asset
- Skills in EP an asset
- Strong technical skills required
- Strong computer skills an asset
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to the team and Patient Focused Care
