Job Overview:
The IT Clinical Configuration Operations & Management EDC/CTMS Intern will support the Clinical Technical Configuration Team by generating operational metrics consolidating data from multiple systems and preparing monthly team performance reviews. The intern will work with Excel and basic SQL to track ticket resolution study setup progress and team throughput. The role also will contribute to evaluating and propose future automation approaches for reporting and analysis as will work together with the Data Integration and Business Administration leadership to review and propose strategic approaches based on the analysis of metrics and operations.
In addition the intern will support daily operational activities by preparing datasets tracking ticket and study set-up progress and assisting with organization and configuration of operational logs.
Finally this position will contribute with other intern positions by supporting the design of competency frameworks career paths and development plans for the Clinical Technical Configuration team. The intern will gather information from stakeholders structure skills matrices and support the creation of capability-build content.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Pull weekly data from sources (ServiceNow CTMS Operational Logs where applicable) and consolidate in Excel.
- Maintain KPIs: ticket volume & resolution by priority backlog aging study setup cycle time rework rate handoff delays.
- Create standard metric templates and distribution cadence for leadership.
- Draft a phased automation plan (e.g. move from Excel to Power BI light SQL scheduled exports; document feasibility data owners risks).
- Shadow team on EDC/CTMS study setup to understand lifecycle and drivers of delays.
- Support Clinical Technical Configuration Team Leadership on innovation proposals and innovation project charters.
- Draft competency matrix (Foundational à Advanced) across the Clinical Technical Configuration Team skills (e.g. SQL EDC design CTMS workflows Data Integrity Compliance Stakeholder Management Problem resolution).
- Map career paths with training milestones and performance indicators (Jr. Business Analyst/Strategist à Business Analyst/Strategist à Sr. Business Analyst/Strategist à Principal Business Analyst/Strategist à DI Business Administration Manager.
- Support in the alignment of the CTCT organizational structure with the HR department.
- Design assessment rubrics and development plan templates.
- Coordinate career training programs and materials development in conjunctions with the Clinical Technical Configuration Internship Team.
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
- Intermediate Excel (pivot tables data visualization lookups conditional formatting data validation).
- Basic SQL (SELECT/JOIN filters); willingness to learn clinical data models (CTMS/EDC).
- Analytical thinking clear documentation stakeholder communication.
- Project Management basics.
- Strong organizational entrepreneurial behavior.
- Analytical mindset; stakeholder interviewing skills.
- Exceptional dominion of written and verbal communication (English).
- Attention to detail.
- Nice to have:
- Basic SQL intermediate Excel.
