As part of the Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business of GE Healthcare we support the PDx vision of being the best-in-class supply chain delivering the right dose to the right patient at the right time here at our campus at Oslo.

Description:

The Energy and Productivity Leader is responsible for driving operational excellence by optimizing energy usage and improving productivity across manufacturing operations. This role ensures sustainable practices cost efficiency and compliance with corporate standards while enabling capacity growth and reliability.

Reporting lines:

Reporting to the Utility Manager.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

Energy Management & Sustainability

  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency across utilities and production processes.
  • Monitor energy KPIs and lead initiatives aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with Utilities & Technical Support teams to standardize best practices for clean utilities and energy systems.

Strategic Planning & Governance

  • Define annual energy and productivity targets and track progress against KPIs.
  • Support global and site-level Value Creation Projects (VCP) focused on energy savings and productivity gains.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering and Maintenance Automation & Digital and Operations teams to integrate energy and productivity goals into CAPEX and process improvement projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in energy efficiency and productivity for global forums and workshops.

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Mentor site teams on energy management and productivity tools.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to build organizational capability in sustainability and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Energy Management or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations energy optimization and productivity improvement.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements within pharmaceutical production
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and OEE principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • Ability to lead global initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated industries and familiar with GMP requirements (e.g. healthcare pharmaceuticals).
  • Familiarity with ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of digital tools for energy monitoring and predictive maintenance.
