This role will sit within the Global Data and Technology Solutions (GDATs) organization in World Courier and is a key member of the leadership team. Were re-imagining IT not as a support function but as a strategic partner to the World Courier business.

We exist to help the organisation rise adapt and grow using technology that is innovative integrated reliable secure and designed around real operational needs.

The Senior Director of Technology Architecture plays a pivotal role in making that ambition real.

What youll do

Be a true business partner

As a member of the IT leadership team for World Courier youll work closely with leaders across operations quality regulatory commercial customer services and finance teams to understand their challenges and opportunities.

Youll help shape ideas into clear solution options that align with business goals and regulatory realities.

Youll build lasting relationships with our vendors to help build our technology innovation road maps.

Set architectural direction with purpose

Youll own and evolve our target architecture for World Courier and solution architecture for key priority projects ensuring systems data integrations and platforms work together as a coherent whole. Youll balance todays delivery needs with tomorrows strategy keeping us secure resilient and adaptable.

Shape demand not just respond to it

Youll lead our architecture and analysis capability to ensure scope of work and solutions are well-defined prioritized and outcome-focused. Youll challenge constructively simplify where possible and help the business focus on what will deliver the greatest value.

Youll be a key contributor to the annual budgeting and for short medium and long term planning.

Enable delivery dont slow it down

Youll partner closely with vendors IT delivery product data security and infrastructure teams providing clarity and guidance that helps teams move faster and with confidence. Architecture here is about enabling progress not creating barriers.

Support better decisions

Youll provide clear insight into trade-offs risks dependencies and long-term impacts supporting investment and prioritization decisions across the portfolio.

Youll be a strong storyteller who can sell the solutions that we need to develop to a non-technical audience.

Grow people and capability

Youll build lead and inspire a talented team of architects and analysts creating a culture of curiosity innovation collaboration and continuous improvement.

Experience that will help you succeed:

• You will have worked with one or more of the following platforms: transportation management systems warehouse management systems IoT and visibility platforms customer-facing order solutions with an awareness of enterprise-level Salesforce/CRM solutions

• Leading solution architecture or analysis in complex environments (20 concurrent global projects)

• Strong grounding in business analysis and shaping demand

• Strong understanding of applications integrations data platforms and security

• Strong understanding of technology and technology delivery methods (Waterfall Agile Scrum etc.)

• Experience operating in regulated or operationally critical environments

• This role operates within a global matrixed IT organisation working closely with product engineering delivery QA and business stakeholders.

• Collaboration across time zones and regions is required
