ROLE SUMMARY
The Global Commercial Excellence & Enablement (GCEE) Initiatives & Operations Lead is a pivotal strategic leadership role within the GCEE organization responsible for driving cross-functional and operational excellence initiatives across all GCEE verticals. This role involves anticipating identifying understanding and engaging with key issues and opportunities across the GCEE organization partnering with the GCEE Lead to drive strategy ensuring effective prioritization resolution and timely implementation of solutions and managing a $220M budget.
Reporting directly to the GCEE Lead and serving as a key member of the GCEE Leadership Team this role is critical in shaping the strategy and future direction and success of our organization. The GCEE Initiatives & Operations Lead will provide strategic and operational support to enhance organizational efficiency clarify goals drive key initiatives and ensure alignment of activities between the GCEE and key internal stakeholders. GCEE is a 700-person global organization spanning sales and marketing enablement sales training and delivery commercial global operations cross CMO program orchestration and the CFC CRM strategy and deployment.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Leadership and Advisory:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the GCEE Lead and leadership team providing strategic insights analysis and recommendations to inform key business decisions and initiatives.
- Foster cross-functional alignment and collaboration across verticals and teams to ensure organizational goals and priorities are effectively communicated understood and executed.
- Conceptualize and drive key strategic initiatives to foster a more efficient and effective organization while ensuring seamless integration between the CMO and commercial business.
- Drive an AI-mindset and foster approaches to AI-fluency and AI-driven effectiveness and efficiency in processes and key initiatives across GCEE.
2. Operating Model Optimization and Project Management:
- Lead the strategic development and optimization of the GCEE model aligning organizational design resource allocation capabilities development and technology infrastructure.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement to ensure the operating model reflects the organizations strategic priorities and enables agile and adaptive responses to customer needs.
- Oversee strategic projects and initiatives on behalf of the GCEE Leadership Team defining project scope objectives timelines and resource allocation to drive successful outcomes.
3. Financial Planning and Oversight:
- Drive the GCEE Operating plan in close collaboration with the Finance Lead and GCEE Leadership Team ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and transparent budget/resource planning and allocation.
- Exercise accountability and oversight for operations execution and budgets ensuring adherence to financial spend targets and driving efficiency in resource allocation.
- Lead the 9 GCEE budget captains in a focused and efficient finance committee ensuring delivery of the budget as well as timely escalation and recommendations on resource allocation needs.
4. Culture Building and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a primary liaison between the Leadership team and key stakeholders facilitating effective communication and collaboration to ensure alignment with GCEE organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage communication channels and events such as huddles town halls and LT meetings to engage stakeholders and foster transparency and collaboration. Activate the GCEE community and drive Pfizers purpose and values through partnerships and an annual communications plan including huddles blogs recognition and survey action planning (e.g. GCEE Learn).
- Partner with PX to drive insights from GCEE PULSE results and identify areas for fostering a culture of engagement and growth.
5. Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to track progress towards strategic goals and objectives providing regular updates and reports to the leadership team.
- Lead initiatives to identify opportunities for process optimization efficiency improvements and cost savings driving a culture of continuous improvements across the organization.
- Enhance the effectiveness of the GCEE organization by proactively taking on work and adding value in ways such as preparation and review of presentations briefing documents speaker prep triaging and responding to questions and requests organizing and prioritizing materials for review etc.
6. Compliance and Values Alignment:
- Ensure all GCEE activities and initiatives are conducted in compliance with company policies procedures and industry regulations.
- Uphold and role model Pfizer Values & Behaviors acting as an ambassador to build Pfizers reputation and support business engagement initiatives as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelors degree is required
- At minimum 8 years of relevant work experience preferably with a broad knowledge of the marketing pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment and experience in commercial and marketing roles is preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162900.00 to $261000.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
