Job Summary:
Candidate will facilitate the process of identifying applying for and managing grant funding for organizations. They ensure compliance with grant requirements prepare proposals and track funding usage. Responsibilities may focus on administrative tasks and assisting with grant applications and maintaining relationships with funding organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential grants that align with OCRE mission and goals.
Assist with writing proposals and coordinate timely submissions.
Assist in submitting grant applications to ensure funder guidelines are met.
Develop & maintain database of OCRE grant information submissions progress & reporting.
Track grant revenue and expenditures prepare financial reports and reconcile general ledgers.
Assist with budget development and forecasting.
Provide guidance and support to project team on grant management and compliance.
Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Public Administration Accounting Finance or related field
Experience:
Five(5) or more years of experience in grant writing administration compliance and coordination
Experience with working with federal and state grants.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of grant funding sources including federal state and private foundations.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
Familiarity with budget development and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Word
Experience with grant management systems and database management
Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in an office setting subject to frequent interruptions with extensive work at a computer workstation and site visits to various Precinct One and Harris County offices.
Physical Demands:
This role is a standard office role that requires remaining stationary for long periods of time.
At times boxes or equipment must be transported weighing up to 20 lbs.
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
