- Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records for billing and insurance purposes.
- Review medical documentation to ensure coding compliance with regulatory guidelines and insurance requirements.
- Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on any discrepancies or denials.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify information and resolve coding issues.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Billing and Coding program or relevant certification.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS coding systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and physiology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Desired Experience:
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with insurance billing processes and claim submission.
- Salary & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $110000 - $125000 annually.
