Qualifications:
- Hold a current license by the NJ Board of Medical Examiners in Medicine or Osteopathy and shall have a training and scope of practice that includes child and adolescent health and development
- Show evidence of successful health care experience working with children and adolescents
- Shall have completed the Student Athlete Cardiac Screening Professional Development Module
- Hold a drivers license with no serious violations
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development wellness education community health and social service resources and current health issues
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and the interpersonal skills to relate with students staff administrators parents school nurses and the community and health and social service agencies
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing using proper grammar and vocabulary
- Provide proof of U.S. citizenship
- Provide proof that a criminal record history has been conducted and clearance has been given by the Department of Education and finger printing taken in accordance with procedures established by the Commissioner of Education
- Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job function
- Must be available for onsite medical consultation weekly. Must complete Medical Services as per N.J.A.C. 6A:2
- Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing with staff students parents administrators and the community
