Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision responsible for all aspects of various projects of a moderately complex nature. Responsible for assembling project team assigning individual responsibilities identifying appropriate resources needed and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. Communicates with Program Managers and other managerial staff as needed. Assign work of subordinate staff. Will manage large numbers of agency staff or have large scope of responsibility within agency.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Study Design & Data Collection: Design methods for collecting health data and surveillance programs. Ensuring the study is methodologically sound and can produce reliable and valid results
  • Data Analysis: Identify trends patterns and correlations related to key demographic and socioeconomic factors in the district.
  • Interpretation & Reporting: Translate outputs into clear actionable insights for non-experts preparing reports and visualizations for various audiences.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with epidemiologists nurses district leadership District Health Director and other public health professionals on research surveillance and program evaluation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure data integrity and accuracy implementing checks to maintain reliability in analyses.
  • Policy & Program Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of public health initiatives policies and interventions.
  • Public Education: Create materials (infographics articles) to inform communities about health issues promoting healthier behaviors.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of professional level experience related to the area of assignment;
or
Two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Project Mgr (Non-IT) 1 (GSP110).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and significant experience in Public Health to understand the complex nature of provided services and diverse populations served. Knowledge of and proficiency in the different computer programs used in Public Health. Excellent communication and presentation skills are needed to be successful in the position.

Office work environment and may lift up to 25 lbs.
