Location: Berkeley Heights NJ (5 Days Onsite)
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Analyst with deep domain expertise in Financial Services Payments and Card Processing. The ideal candidate will bring 20 years of experience and strong analytical skills with a primary focus on Payments General Ledger Credit and Debit Card domains. This is a fully onsite role in Berkeley Heights NJ and local candidates will be given strong preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex datasets related to payments card transactions and financial systems.
- Work closely with business and technology teams to support data-driven decisions.
- Provide insights into General Ledger and payment reconciliation processes.
- Interpret and document data flows across payment systems.
- Support Payment API integrations and related data analysis (preferred).
- Develop advanced SQL queries for reporting validation and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Required Skills & Experience
- 20 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
- Strong domain expertise in:
- Payments
- Credit & Debit Cards
- General Ledger
- Financial Services
- Expert-level SQL skills (complex joins performance tuning data validation).
- Strong understanding of payment transaction lifecycles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Payment APIs.
- Experience working in enterprise banking or fintech environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
