Off Campus Student Housing Solutions is a business unit within ASSA ABLOY DSS that designs and delivers solutions for student housing providers. We are passionate about improving students safety security and convenience. Our goal is to reimagine how students move through their world and design new services deploying the latest technologies. Learn more about what we do at: you will be doing:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for new revenue development account management and creation of demand for AA brands in the student housing market for the specified region with primary emphasis on electronic access control. The candidate will ideally live in the Western US while covering the Western Region (inclusive of but not limited to Phoenix AZ Denver CO and Salt Lake City UT).

Key areas you will contribute to the role include:

  • Responsible for prospecting proposing and closing sales to new and existing customers in the geographic territory assigned.
  • Provide reports sales projections and other documentation as requested.
  • Make effective sales calls to existing or prospective customers and grow territory sales; and maintain appropriate records in CRM system documenting customer interaction.
  • Manage relationships at a regional level with purchasing company accounts ownership and management companies distributors etc.
  • Evaluate existing and potential customers and concentrate major selling effort on those customers that represent the greatest opportunity for volume growth.
  • Create quarterly and annual action plans based on opportunities identified; actively support sales and technical training needs of existing customers; investigate customer complaints and make recommendations to management.
  • Maintain proficiency on all sales and technical aspects of products.
  • Assume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein but which are logically and properly inherent to the Sales Department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • Ideal candidate will have a background in electronic locks and access controls.
  • Ideal candidate will have background in multi-family student housing and/or higher education markets.
  • Ideal candidate will have a background of meeting and exceeding quota in technical or sales preferably both.
  • Strong business and technical aptitude (extensive training is given but must be able to learn newtechnology).
  • Work well independently (in a tight timeline) self-motivated and takes initiative.
  • Self-driven ambitious team oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% - 60% of work time required.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment or while traveling.
  • The ideal candidate will be located close to major cities in the above-described territories within 1 hour of a major airport.
  • You can lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for sale presentations.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must successfully pass 80% product certification tests.

Education and/or experience:

  • Your background includes a Bachelors degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: business or similar) or have work experience commensurate with minimum high school/GED diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience (access control software credentials and related systems preferred).
  • Successful track record of business development in a regional multi-state territory.
  • Experience selling technology within the vertical industry (student housing & multi-family preferred).
  • Experience selling software and SASS model software platforms and services.
  • Experience with a home office environment and maintaining workload while traveling.
  • Proven track record of building successful client relationships.
  • Prior experience working with clients ranging from C-level to front line managers.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel Power Point and Outlook.
  • Must have a successful history of managing and growing sales revenues.
  • Must have a demonstrated track record of working under minimal direct supervision.

ASSA ABLOY offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including bonus a 401(k) plan education assistance company car and an environment that reflects our commitment to our employees. The wage range for this role is $100K - $110K and considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to to primary work job-related knowledge skills experience training licensure and certifications business requirements geographic location and other business and organizational needs. This salary range is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
