THE ROLE
The Senior Service Center Technician is responsible for evaluating and repairing submersible wastewater pumps (Flygt) at branch locations. This role includes mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Product-specific training will be provided. This position may also involve customer interaction.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this role successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Evaluate repair and conduct mechanical and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
Operate industrial equipment in a shop environment (forklifts overhead cranes etc.)
Use company-provided hand and power tools safely and effectively
Maintain accurate records within Xylems work-order management system
Create and maintain a safe clean and organized work environment
Safeguard company property and equipment
Demonstrate a High-Impact Culture through innovation accountability and empowerment
Collaborate effectively in a team environment
Work independently in most situations
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- 25 years of technical work experience
- Electrical and/or mechanical experience required
- Experience in process water is considered an asset
- Experience working on submersible pumps is a plus but not required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an industrial shop environment where the use of PPE is required
May include exposure to hazardous materials and loud noise
Requires prolonged standing and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Overtime may be required
Occasional travel may be necessary for training

The estimated salary range for this position is $28 to $35 per hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the range.
