We are seeking a reliable and skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of commercial properties in the Shreveport area. This is a field-based position offering consistent daytime hours a company vehicle and the opportunity to apply a broad range of technical skills daily.

Position Overview
In this role you will travel locally between commercial properties performing preventative corrective and predictive maintenance. You will troubleshoot building systems complete general repairs and maintain professional safe environments for clients. Strong customer interaction and communication are essential.
A company vehicle and tools are provided.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs
Complete preventative maintenance and repair work orders in compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
Perform day-to-day repairs emergency service and scheduled maintenance.
Troubleshoot issues related to building systems and equipment.
Multi-Trade Work
Plumbing: Unclog toilets and drains repair leaks replace valves and fixtures maintain automatic flush sensors.
Electrical (within state guidelines): Replace switches outlets fixtures bulbs ballasts and sockets.
Carpentry & Painting: Perform drywall repair surface preparation paint matching and general cosmetic upkeep.
Support maintenance of walls floors doors and building systems including HVAC.
Inspections & Documentation
Complete service inspections and asset inspections as required.
Use tablet or smartphone to:
Access update and close work orders
Document services performed
Submit service reports and inspection photos
Complete timesheets expense reports and purchase logs
Obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete assignments.
Customer Service & Communication
Build strong professional relationships through direct interaction with clients.
Maintain consistent communication with internal teams and customers.
Provide estimates for larger repair or improvement projects.
Participate in required safety training and weekly safety meetings.
Qualifications
Experience
25 years of general maintenance experience required.
Experience in electrical plumbing carpentry or HVAC systems.
Commercial property maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair building mechanical systems.
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Trade certification or specialized training preferred.
Valid drivers license in good standing required.
Applicable licenses or certifications as required.
Technical & Professional Skills
Ability to complete work orders efficiently and communicate status clearly.
Comfortable using handheld devices and business software (Outlook Word Excel).
Strong understanding of OSHA standards and workplace safety.
Ability to read and interpret operating manuals and safety procedures.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
Willingness to travel locally between properties daily.
